Wedding Adventure

I just wrote to a friend how John and Elizabeth's wedding went, and I didn't feel like retyping it so I thought I'd just copy and paste it here.  Our little adventure that if left up to Kylie and Shiloh would never be shared!  ;)

Mom was at the church decorating and doesn't have a cellphone, we were going to ride with Shiloh.  All went well and Shiloh picked us up and dropped Kylie off at the church, Gracie and I stayed in the car with Shiloh to pick up Gaya (The Sri Lanka Girl)  because she had never been to an american wedding.  We got to her house in enough time to get back to the church before the wedding started....  but when Gaya got in the car wouldn't start.  And Gaya doesn't have a car!  Shiloh's car had overheated, or it was the battery, I don't know for sure which one.  We popped the hood and all of us girls in our dresses tried to do something to revive the car...  At one point we were fanning it with Shiloh's sweater and hubcap!  Then we decided that we would call Kylie, but she didn't answer, and mom doesn't have a cellphone.  Gaya's house is in a hard place to find, and no one but us knew how to get there!  We didn't try to call anyone else because everyone we knew was at the wedding and had their cellphones off.   Aaaahhhh!!!!!  I think was running through all of our minds.   It was probably over 95 degrees that day, very hot, and we were all in our fancy dresses....  But we had no choice (we thought) we had to walk.  But Shiloh tried one more time to call Kylie and got through!  She gave the phone to Linda (Shiloh's mom)  and we told her one to pick us up on one of the main streets that her mom knew....  we did have to walk there in the heat, but it was kinda fun.... I had never walked to a wedding before!
We were near the college where no one dresses like we were dressed and we were just walking around. Gaya tripped on a beer bottle....  That's how out of place we were....  :)  Well Linda then came and saved our life!!!!  Thank you Lindie!!!

Rainy Day Fun

Yesterday it rained hard for a while and the bottom of our street was pleasantly 'splashy'  We took our umbrellas   and took off our shoes and had a grand time soaking each other by splashing with our feet. We would run up and down the street making great waves that soaked the person in front of you.   Then Shiloh joined the fun!  Even though she didn't have a change of clothes.  (You are such a good sport!)  :)  It was so fun until our neighbor started slowing down as he passed by us...  We thought for sure he was going to tell us to stop.... but he backed up and sped by us spraying us with a huge cold wave!!!  Then he came around and did it again!  I guess not all our neighbor are too old for a little rainy day fun! After we were done we walked home holding our umbrellas above our heads, even though we were soaked to the bone.  :) Fun times!

Meet...Kylie.....

Or not!  She is being very bad!   She won't ........ Kylie tackled me before I could finish the post!  What a sister!  Do you  want me to tell you all the rotten things about her?  There are a lot! ~Just joking~  I really do love her.... despite her lack of desire to post. So I guess I will once again post about me, myself and I....  *Ya, I know* (Personal joke between my sister and I) I ate spaghetti for breakfast...  it is amazing how much it can look like worms when smashed in a container two sizes too small!  Then I got to wondering how robins, (And Collins)  can eat real worms... I mean the slimy type...  That makes me remember a very fun evening with my two dear friends...  And a yucky next day! I'm not exactly the best story teller....  but I think Ky or Shi, with the help of some pictures and videos could do the job!  :)  (Hint, hint, hint) OK 2nd time in a row... ...

A long-overdue new post

Well, in case anyone wondered...we are all still alive! A lot has happened in the intervening !decade! I (Shiloh) live in Kansas City. I am an ultrasound technologist at Ku Med and have two dogs.  I only remembered this blog when going through my email to delete old emails. I old email notifications and decided to see if it still existed. Sure enough, there it was - alive and well - but deeply neglected.
