I do (well I didn't)

There has been no shortage of activity this past week! The big event was a wedding that all members of the S Squad had some part in, which made for lot of fun! Right?

Friday was preparation day. Decorating the few things that were on the list, which amounted to the window and the gift table. That was Dawn's job, and she made it look wonderful! After decorating came cheese chopping, grape washing and counting, and olive rinsing. Somewhere in there was working out logistics, which my brain seemed to be in some place other than the building at that point in time, but in the end we got it all figured out!
There was a few hours break in there, and then it was off to the rehearsal, which went off without a hitch.

After Friday comes Saturday, the big day. We started by making oodles and oodles of olive, pepperoni and fruit shish-kabobs, and then lots of fruit shish-kabobs. I think I liked the first ones better, they weren't wet and juicy. After a few hours to make last preparations, it was time to get underway. Ky was a bridesmaid, and looked great in her dress and hair-do! She will have to give her viewpoint, after all she did have a front and central view.

When the wedding was over, it was mad dash scramble time! Take down all the chairs and get tables set up for the reception. The guys did that, and Payton (and some others too, I'm just not sure who) put all the decorations on the tables. Everybody did their thing in 19 minutes and all the people were let back in (They were kicked outside for ease of set up=) ) The reception was uneventful, and afterwards we all cleaned up stuff, cleaned the church and called it good!

That is all that has happened, or else I would post something everyone didn't already know everything about!
Oh well, it is here for record keeping!

Chocolate

I really have no idea what possessed me to do this extremely random post, but that is ok. I love chocolate, so I thought I would give a brief discussion on chocolate. First, chocolate is a dietary staple. It should be kept in a house at any given time, and most definitely should be kept in emergency kits! What could be worse than using an emergency kit, only to discover it has no chocolate? Second, when it is being stored in a house, while is is waiting to be eaten, it should be kept flat. If it kept on its side, when it gets too hot, it all oozes together to make a very unappetizing mass. When it is kept flat, it doesn't matter if it gets melty because it will keep its shape! Thirdly, take care to make sure that chocolate does not run out! It is a disaster to want chocolate, only to realize that there is none to be found. Lastly, dark chocolate is the best, especially if is truffle filled. milk chocolate is fine, but not half as good as dark, and white chocolate has...

Cicadas

This is a short post, but I am fascinated by the cicadas! They LOVE our elm that is out back. They are all over it. And I have now learned that cicadas turn brown after they come out of their shells. I was convinced that I had found an albino. Another side note, much to my happiness, my uncle has trimmed several of our trees, meaning I might be able to mow without getting all scraped up! Shiloh

Shiloh!

Well, I suppose it is my turn to talk about myself. I am not very good at autobios, unless I am writing them in spanish, and if I did that, no one (that means you Payton) would know what I was saying, so I will do it in English. First things first, I do not like vegetables, except for corn, and I remain convinced that it is a fruit. Chocolate is a dietary staple, can't live without it. I am homeschooled, and my favorite subject is spanish, all the others take turns at last depending on how bad (or good) I did on my last assignment. I love tagging along on all the endeavors of my wonderful friends, making four hundred 'snackies' is the latest, although I don't know what they are just yet. My official job title is 'gofer', or tape slave, depending on the occasion! I will forever picture myself as a little brown animal running to and fro. I debated including this, but I will, I have an imaginary turtle friend name Dottie. She will probably, when I'm not...
