I do (well I didn't)

There has been no shortage of activity this past week! The big event was a wedding that all members of the S Squad had some part in, which made for lot of fun! Right? Friday was preparation day. Decorating the few things that were on the list, which amounted to the window and the gift table. That was Dawn's job, and she made it look wonderful! After decorating came cheese chopping, grape washing and counting, and olive rinsing. Somewhere in there was working out logistics, which my brain seemed to be in some place other than the building at that point in time, but in the end we got it all figured out! There was a few hours break in there, and then it was off to the rehearsal, which went off without a hitch. After Friday comes Saturday, the big day. We started by making oodles and oodles of olive, pepperoni and fruit shish-kabobs, and then lots of fruit shish-kabobs. I think I liked the first ones better, they weren't wet and juicy. After a few hours to make last preparatio...

Story Anyone?

You all are probably groaning expecting a 100 page story of mine, but I just wanted to share one a friend shared with me.... It reminds me of helping with functions....  Then mom comes and everybody does what they're supposed to. There once were four people named Everybody, Anybody, Somebody, and Nobody. An important job had to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody’s job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it and that Somebody would do it. But Nobody realized that Everybody thought Somebody would do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Cicadas

This is a short post, but I am fascinated by the cicadas! They LOVE our elm that is out back. They are all over it. And I have now learned that cicadas turn brown after they come out of their shells. I was convinced that I had found an albino. Another side note, much to my happiness, my uncle has trimmed several of our trees, meaning I might be able to mow without getting all scraped up! Shiloh

My Cousins

The past week and a half my cousins from Louisiana have been up. It has been a very good time so far. =) One of their favorite things to do is play out side. I think they could live out there if we gave them the opportunity. In St Louis we went to a park one day. That was fun. On the way we picked up some Lion's Choice and ate it at the park. I was very happy to get out of the house. The main excitement in St Louis was the inclement weather. On Wednesday we spent about two hours in basement with sirens going off every once in a while. There was no damage to any place in the area, thankfully! After St. Louis, we came here. So far we have just been hanging out. The two kids have been just a little bit sick, mainly fevers, but today they both act like they are feeling much better, which makes all of us happy! That is all for the time being... I better get back to my company, right after I change the background! ~~Shiloh~~

Fisher Spider Box, And Music

Hello again you all! (Notice I didn't say y'all, I'm not from Texas, and don't wish to be... sorry all you Texas fans, I'm just not meant to be like y'all) OK... I don't have too much to report, except that I put Mr. Fisher Spider in a lovely box after pickling him... And I am surprised at how well he is doing!  His legs haven't curled at all!!! I will have to show you Shi, next time you come over. Second thing, Darin gave me a wonderful program for writing music, and I'm having a ball!  I LOVE it!  It makes me want to compose some more....  I might just have to do that right now! I'll show you my work Shiloh, once you finally decide that you want to see us again...  :) Almost done.... Today I went to the Orthodontist, and he put me on the last size of wires!   I am almost done!  Whoa!  The time just flew since I had them put on!  It'll be great to have them off! Last thing.... I want a report Shiloh, and not just three wo...

No Wonder Kylie Doesn't Want to Drive........

There are some scary drivers out there! Darin, a friend of ours, sent Ky and I these videos.....  They are not in the US, but still..... "At about 35 seconds into this take a look at the pedestrian between the white car and the motorcycle in the bottom right of the screen.  Want to get to the other side of the street?  Here is a how to video just for you. Also, if you are ever in Thailand and want to buy some food in Bangkok - well you will just have to see this to believe it! Thanks Darin! Blessings! ~Payton
